Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (B.Ed. Special Education) / B.Ed. with Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed. Spl. Ed.) or equivalent qualification recognized by RCI.
RCI registration is preferred.
Additional certification in Inclusive Education, Indian Sign Language (ISL), or Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) will be an added advantage.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in teaching or supporting Children with Special Needs (CwSN) in inclusive or special school settings.
Experience in preparing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conducting functional assessments.
Experience in working with government schools, teachers, parents, and education stakeholders is desirable.
Knowledge of inclusive education practices and child -centered pedagogy.
Ability to adapt curriculum, teaching methods, and classroom activities to diverse learning needs.
Understanding of different disabilities and appropriate educational interventions.
Basic knowledge of Screening and Functional Assessment (SFA), IEP preparation, and progress monitoring.
Ability to prepare and use customized Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs).
Knowledge of assistive devices, accessibility, and classroom accommodations.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and online documentation tools.
Strong commitment to inclusive education and child rights.
Patience, empathy, and sensitivity while working with children with disabilities and their families.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, CRPs, BRPs, BIERTs, and other stakeholders.
Good organizational and problem -solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Ability to maintain child profiles, progress records, and IEP documentation.
Experience in preparing reports, case studies, and success stories.
Ability to maintain accurate records and submit reports within timelines.
Fluency in Kannada and basic English communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with children, parents, teachers, and community members.
Willingness to travel within the assigned project area.
Ability to participate in trainings, review meetings, and community events.
Commitment to teamwork and integrated service delivery.
Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and ethical practices while working with children and families.
