About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our engineering team across three critical technology tracks: Node.js + React + AWS and Node.js + Python + AWS, and Node.js + AWS. In this leadership position, you will drive the strategic direction, technical excellence, and operational execution of our product and platform development efforts, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in a cloud-first environment.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Guide, mentor, and manage a team of developers specializing in Node.js, AWS, React, and Python.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define the technical roadmap and project priorities.
• Foster an environment of innovation, continuous learning, and process improvement within the team.

Technical Oversight for Specific Tracks:

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Act as the primary liaison between the engineering team and other departments, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
• Drive collaborative initiatives with product, UI/UX, DevOps, and data engineering teams to achieve project goals.

Operational Excellence:

• Implement and maintain engineering best practices, including coding standards, design patterns, and automation of development processes.
• Drive the adoption of monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or associate director role.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong background in Node.js and AWS across all three tracks.
  • Experience with React (for Full Stack role) and/or Python (for Backend role).
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing technical teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
