Overview

The Video Editor plays a pivotal role in the creative process of our organization, transforming raw footage into polished visual content that resonates with our audience. The editor collaborates closely with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure the final product aligns with the project's vision and objectives. This role not only requires technical proficiency in editing software but also demands creativity and the ability to manage time effectively under deadlines. As a key player in our production team, the Video Editor significantly contributes to the overall quality of our media content and helps to establish our brand identity in the digital realm.

Key Responsibilities

Review and organize raw video footage.
Collaborate with directors and producers to understand project goals.
Edit video content for online and offline platforms.
Enhance video quality with color correction and sound editing.
Create engaging motion graphics and visual effects.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Adhere to deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Work with audio files to ensure proper synchronization.
Implement feedback from team members to improve edits.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of video editing trends and techniques.
Archive and manage video files for easy accessibility.
Assist in script creation and storyboarding for video projects.
Conducting quality checks on final edits.
Utilize various video editing software and tools.
Present edited content to stakeholders for approval.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or related field.
Proven experience as a Video Editor in a professional setting.
Strong proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Experience with motion graphics tools like After Effects.
Excellent storytelling abilities through visual mediums.
Basic understanding of color grading and audio editing.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
Portfolio showcasing previous editing projects is required.
Knowledge of social media platforms and their video specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of copyright and licensing regulations.
Creative mindset with the ability to offer fresh ideas.
Willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced media environment is a plus.
