Description
The Windows Patching Activity Coordinator will be responsible for the end‑to‑end administration of Windows Server platforms (2012‑2022) and the execution of monthly patching and vulnerability remediation activities. Working in a hybrid model with rotational shifts, the role collaborates closely with business and application teams to schedule maintenance windows, monitor server health, and uphold security standards using SCCM/MECM, WSUS, and Qualys. The coordinator also participates in Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes to maintain high availability and compliance across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities
  • Administer Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and ensure availability across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy objects as part of server infrastructure.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute monthly patching cycles using SCCM/MECM, WSUS, and Qualys.
  • Perform patch impact analysis, risk assessment, and validate compliance, generating reports for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows with business and application teams and handle emergency patch deployments.
  • Troubleshoot patch failures, post‑patch issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis for server incidents.
  • Drive vulnerability remediation based on Qualys scans and enforce server hardening/security best practices.
  • Participate in Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes and maintain audit‑ready documentation.


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience administering Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022.
  • Strong expertise with SCCM/MECM and WSUS for patch deployment.
  • Proven experience in Windows Patch Management and vulnerability remediation using Qualys.
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation (preferred).
  • Exposure to VMware or Hyper‑V virtualization environments (preferred).
  • Understanding of Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes (ITIL knowledge a plus).
  • Ability to perform impact analysis, risk assessment, and generate compliance reports.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
