Job Description - Zonal Manager

Key Responsibilities

Zonal Operations Management

  • Oversee overall operations and performance of all centers/projects within the assigned zone.
  • Ensure successful implementation of skilling, education, digital literacy, and livelihood programs.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, center productivity, training quality, and compliance standards.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across regions.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead Regional Managers, State Heads, Operations Teams, Placement Teams, and support staff.
  • Ensure proper manpower planning, recruitment support, and succession planning.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and mentor regional leadership teams.
  • Build a high -performance and accountable work culture.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with CSR partners, government departments, corporates, and funding agencies.
  • Represent the organization in strategic meetings and review discussions.
  • Handle critical escalations and ensure timely resolution of operational challenges.

Placement & Program Delivery

  • Monitor candidate mobilization, training delivery, certification, placements, and retention metrics.
  • Ensure achievement of zonal targets related to enrollments, placements, and project outcomes.
  • Strengthen employer partnerships and industry engagement initiatives.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Monitor zonal budgets, operational costs, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, audit requirements, and project compliance standards.
  • Review MIS reports, dashboards, and performance analytics regularly.

Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Support expansion plans and new project implementations within the zone.
  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancement and regional growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives and process optimization.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and multi -location operations management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and decision -making skills.
  • Expertise in team handling, escalation management, and project execution.
  • Proficiency in MIS reporting and operational monitoring.
  • Ability to work in a fast -paced, target -driven environment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Management, Operations, Education, or related field.

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in operations, skilling, CSR, education, livelihood, or training management.
  • Experience in managing large -scale, multi -state operations preferred.
  • Prior experience in handling government or CSR -funded projects will be an advantage.

Preferred Attributes

  • Strong strategic and execution -oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across assigned zones.
  • Proven track record in managing large teams and achieving operational targets.
