Job Description - Business Development Intern

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Business Development Internship Program is a structured, learning -oriented initiative designed to provide fresh graduates with real -world exposure to corporate sales and business development practices within the renewable energy sector. This internship is a PAID internship strictly non -target based and non -incentive based. The primary objective is training, professional grooming, and performance evaluation, not revenue generation. Upon successful completion of the 12 -month internship, interns will be evaluated for full -time employment opportunities based on performance, conduct, and organizational requirements.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Business Development Intern will work closely with the Sales & Business Development team to gain practical exposure to:

• Business development processes
• Client interaction and coordination
• Market and field operations
• CRM systems and reporting
• Professional communication and corporate work culture

This role is intended to build a strong foundation for a long -term career in sales, business development, and the renewable energy industry.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business Development Support

• Assist senior executives in day -to -day business development activities
• Support lead coordination, follow -ups, and customer interaction under supervision
• Observe and understand customer requirement analysis and solution presentation

2. Client Interaction & Field Exposure

• Accompany senior team members for site visits and client meetings
• Learn professional client communication, presentation, and follow -up etiquette
• Assist in maintaining customer interaction records

3. CRM & Documentation

• Support data entry and updates in the company’s CRM system
• Assist in preparing basic reports, records, and internal documentation
• Learn documentation processes related to sales and project execution

4. Market Research & Learning

• Assist in basic market research activities such as competitor analysis and customer feedback
• Gain understanding of market trends and customer expectations in the solar sector

5. Training & Professional Development

• Participate in structured training sessions on:

▪ Solar power systems (On -Grid / Off -Grid / Hybrid)
▪ Rooftop solar solutions (Residential & Commercial)
▪ Government subsidy process and documentation
▪ Sales workflow and internal processes

• Adhere to professional standards, discipline, and reporting norms

INTERNSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Fixed monthly stipend of ₹10,000/ -, payable as per company payroll cycle
No sales targets or revenue responsibility during the internship
No incentives, commissions, or performance -linked pay applicable during internship
• Internship is purely training and evaluation -oriented
• Intern must comply with all company policies, confidentiality clauses, and code of conduct



Requirements

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Final -year students / Recent Graduates / Freshers (any discipline)
• Strong interest in business development, sales, and renewable energy sector
• Willingness to work in field and office environment as per business needs
• Good communication skills and professional attitude
• Ability to learn, adapt, and work effectively in a team

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

At the end of the internship, performance will be evaluated based on:

• Learning ability and initiative
• Attendance, discipline, and professionalism
• Communication and coordination skills
• Field involvement and task execution
• Overall conduct and alignment with company values

POST -INTERNSHIP FULL -TIME OPPORTUNITY

Upon successful completion of the 12 -month internship and satisfactory performance evaluation, interns will be considered for full -time employment with Symbroj Solar Pvt. Ltd. in the role of Business Development Executive (BDE). The full -time BDE role will be governed by the company’s approved Salary & Incentive Structure, which includes:

• Defined fixed salary slabs
• Monthly revenue targets
• Performance -based incentives after target achievement
• Quarterly and annual performance benefits, including increments, recognition, and career progression opportunities
