Working Hours: 6 Hours per Day

About the Role

IMHR Academy is looking for enthusiastic and communication-oriented Educational Counselor Interns to join our team in Delhi.

The intern will be responsible for interacting with prospective students, understanding their educational and career goals, explaining suitable courses, following up with leads, and supporting the student enrollment process.

This is a learning-oriented, non-paid internship with an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives on successful student enrollments as per company policy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling

• Communicate with prospective students through phone calls, WhatsApp, email and online platforms.


• Understand students' educational background, career interests, skills and learning objectives.


• Counsel students regarding suitable courses, programs and career-oriented learning options.


• Explain course curriculum, duration, learning methodology, certification, projects and other relevant program details.


• Handle student queries and provide accurate information about programs.

2. Lead Management

• Contact and follow up with leads generated through digital marketing, website, social media, WhatsApp and other sources.


• Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students.


• Understand lead requirements and categorize prospects based on their interest and enrollment stage.


• Maintain accurate lead and student records.


• Update follow-up status and remarks in the company's CRM/lead management system or tracker.

3. Enrollment & Conversion

• Guide interested students through the enrollment process.


• Address basic concerns and queries related to course selection.


• Coordinate with the relevant team for payment, enrollment and batch-related processes.


• Follow up with interested candidates until successful enrollment.


• Achieve assigned counseling and enrollment targets as applicable.

4. Student Relationship Management

• Maintain professional communication with prospective and enrolled students.


• Provide timely responses to student queries.


• Coordinate with academic/operations teams wherever required.


• Maintain a positive student experience throughout the counseling and enrollment journey.

5. Online & Office Counseling

• Conduct counseling sessions through phone calls, WhatsApp and online meetings.


• Attend and counsel walk-in students/prospects at the Delhi office when required.


• Participate in online and offline promotional activities, webinars, seminars or career sessions.


• Support the team during admission campaigns and student engagement activities.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily lead and follow-up records.


• Prepare basic daily/weekly counseling reports.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of student information.

Required Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Strong verbal and written communication


• Hindi and English communication skills


• Good listening and counseling ability


• Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace


• Comfortable using WhatsApp, email and online meeting platforms


• Basic understanding of lead management and follow-up


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Ability to communicate with students, parents and working professionals


• Target-oriented and self-motivated approach
