MediaMasters – Program Description


Brief Description:


The WPP Media team adopts a collaborative and customer-centric approach to delivering highly valued and innovative solutions for our Agencies and Agencies' clients, including activating, and executing dynamic media campaigns.


MediaMasters is an internship plus traineeship program. It's a mix of classroom and on-the-job training with the aim of introducing fresh talent to the media world.


WPP Media is looking for fresh graduates and media enthusiasts to join MediaMasters.

Responsibilities 


Non-Biddable:



  • Get exposed to Traditional media platforms – TV, Radio & Print and internal Reporting and Dashboarding tools.

  • Introduction to Media Planning, Buying, Implementation, Campaign Maintenance & Campaign closure.

  • Work on planning tools – BARC/YUMI, RAM, IRS/ Clear decision.

  • Understanding and usage of Planning tools including Digital

  • Build domain understanding on Load analysis, Channel/program performance.

  • Get exposed to non-biddable digital media solutions including premium publisher inventory, reservation-led digital opportunities, content integrations, and platform-direct partnerships.

  • Understand digital planning inputs such as audience behaviour, campaign objectives, seasonality, budget allocation, reach/frequency trade-offs, and channel role.

  • Support digital plan development using planning, research, and reporting tools such as Comscore, Similarweb, data.ai platform dashboards, and internal planning trackers.

  • Learn campaign implementation workflows including plan implementation, booking coordination, creative readiness checks, trafficking inputs, campaign maintenance, and closure documentation.

  • Develop working knowledge of campaign hygiene including naming conventions, tagging dependencies, reporting accuracy, reporting and post eval formats


Biddable:



  • Understand the basics of platforms & also understand the marketing objective of the brands.

  • Get exposed to one or more practices amongst – Search, Social, E-Comm and Programmatic

  • Develop capabilities to translate theory into practice.

  • Understand the basics of campaign structure while executing search/social/programmatic/e-comm campaigns.

  • Work on keyword & Audience research, assessment & preparing a commentary on findings and understanding steps to create an effective campaign report.


 


Performance:


• Understand business objectives, revenue goals, and marketing strategy for brands.


• Get exposure to cross-channel planning including Paid Media, Organic (SEO/ASO), and Analytics.


• Develop capabilities to translate business problems into measurable performance strategies and solutions.


• Understand end-to-end consumer journey and identify optimization opportunities.


 


 


Programmatic:


 



  • You will be the owner of transforming the agency’s digital media buying from “manual” insertion order to data and technology-driven buying, generating higher ROI for clients and higher revenue/margin.

  • Enforce DV360 and TrueView best practices with a focus on platform expertise, consistency, and quality of work delivery.

  • Provide support to in capacity planning & resource management for the team.

  • Be accountable for consistent delivery to WPP Media regional teams by ensuring a high quality of output.


 


Influencer Marketing:



  • Assist in planning, creating, and publishing content across social media platforms as per brand guidelines and campaign requirements.

  • Coordinate with influencers and creators for briefs, follow-ups, content approvals, and timely delivery of posts.

  • Track content performance using basic analytics tools and share regular updates with the team.

  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and on-time completion of tasks.


 


What will you need:



  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Mass Communication, BMM, BMS, or related fields (Open to 2025 & 2026)

  • Relevant experience of 0 to 6 months/certification in Digital Marketing with Google analytics understanding would be an added advantage.

  • Analytical bent of mind with a knack for data and number crunching.

  • Understanding of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Bid Management Tools, or Programmatic platforms would be added to the advantage.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with non-technical business users as well as technical counterparts.

  • Curiosity and keen to learn, with an interest in the digital industry

  • Good problem solver
