Reporting to: Research Analyst
Location: New Delhi (On-site/ Remote)
Duration: 3 - 6 months
Project Title – Exploring pathways to enhance domestic value addition in the critical mineral value chain
for mineral exploration, mining, and processing.
Job Duties and Accountabilities
Research and analysis
• Conduct research on existing and emerging AI-based technologies applicable to mineral
exploration, mining, and processing, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and domestic value
addition in the critical minerals landscape.
• Collect and analyse data on energy and resource requirements for AI-integrated mining and
processing operations to assess operational feasibility and sustainability.
• Map infrastructure, existing capabilities, and skill requirements necessary for domestic
manufacturing of machinery and equipment with a focus on enhancing the critical mineral supply
chain in India.
• Review and synthesise literature, technical reports, and datasets from publicly available relevant
sources to identify and address current gaps and strengthen policy and investment frameworks
for critical mineral supply chains.
Programme Assistance
• Assist with programme structuring and project implementation, including preparing
presentations, factsheets and other communication material.
• Contribute to reports and other research products as part of the research team.
• Accompany team members for meetings with other stakeholders; prepare minutes of the
meetings and assist with relevant follow-up.
• Assist in organising webinars, workshops and roundtables as part of the team's outreach activities.
Selection Criteria
Education
• Pursuing or recently completed higher education or Master's in a relevant field such as
Engineering/ public policy.
Key Skill Requirements
● Fundamental knowledge and experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft 365.
● Sound understanding of the relevant fields of study with strong communication skills.
● Willingness to learn new research and ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural
environment.
Compensation
Competitive compensation – commensurate with the experience and matching the best of standards
adopted by the industry or other similar organisations for similar roles.
