Job Description - ADON - Nursing Practice Development Co -Ordinator




RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.







We are hiring Assistant Director Of Nursing - Nursing Practice Development Co-Ordinator Posts for a hospital located in Cork, Ireland.








Key Responsibilities





  • Lead and implement the annual Nursing Practice Development Programme across the hospital, ensuring continuous evaluation of its effectiveness and outcomes.



  • Drive quality improvement initiatives by developing, managing, and monitoring annual nursing service practice development and patient safety plans.



  • Provide leadership in quality, safety, and accreditation governance, actively participating in committees and promoting best practices in patient care.



  • Coordinate audits and performance monitoring activities to measure nursing-related patient safety indicators, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.



  • Assess workforce education and training needs and provide data-driven recommendations to support appropriate nursing skill mix, staffing, and professional development




Requirements




  • Current NMBI registration with a minimum of 5 years' post-registration nursing experience.



  • At least 2 years' experience in clinical practice management, practice development, nursing education, or quality improvement initiatives.



  • Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous service improvement.



  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.



  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative in achieving objectives.
