The Ideal Candidate

• 
  

  Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Deputy Manager or experienced Department Manager
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Background in grocery, pharmacy, discount, large-format or high-volume retail
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Commercial awareness with experience managing sales, budgets and KPIs
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced retail environment
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent organisational and operational management skills
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Passion for delivering outstanding customer service

Key Responsibilities

  Support the Store Manager in the successful day-to-day running of the store

  Lead, coach and motivate the team to achieve sales and operational targets

  Drive store performance through effective KPI management

  Maintain excellent merchandising, stock management and store presentation standards

  Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of employees

  Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service
  
  

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee store operations and take responsibility in the Store Manager's absence

  Ensure company policies, procedures and health and safety standards are maintained
