We are hiring Clinical Nurse Manager 2- Theatre, Posts for a hospital located in Tralee, Ireland.
Permanent Full-time-Time 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
â
Manage patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence-based approach.
Provide strong professional, clinical, and operational leadership within the Endoscopy Unit.
Oversee quality assurance activities, maintain high standards of clinical practice, and ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
Manage staffing levels, support staff development, and promote practice development initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of the nursing team.
Coordinate the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with hospital standards and best practice guidelines.
Ensure compliance with patient safety protocols, hospital policies, infection prevention measures, and regulatory requirements.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to improve patient outcomes and enhance the patient experience.
Monitor clinical performance, participate in audits, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Support, mentor, and supervise nursing staff while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Ensure accurate documentation and effective communication across the care team.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Annual NMBI registration maintained in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, including at least 2 years' experience in Endoscopy, Perioperative Nursing, or a related specialty.
Demonstrated clinical, managerial, and administrative competence to effectively perform the responsibilities of the role.
Perioperative Nursing qualification (desirable).
Postgraduate qualification or relevant professional education (desirable).
Healthcare Management qualification (desirable).
Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (desirable).
Preceptorship or staff mentoring experience (desirable).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
