Job Description - Clinical Nurse Manager II - Clinical Facilitator (Educator)

RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified healthcare professionals across Ireland and internationally, providing support with professional registration, job placement, visa applications, and employment permit processing.

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Manager II â Clinical Facilitator (Educator) on behalf of a leading hospital in Galway, Ireland.

Contract Type: Permanent/Part-Tiime

Hours: 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional and clinical leadership, promoting evidence-based nursing practice throughout the hospital.

Support and uphold a patient-centred approach, ensuring the principle that patient care comes first at all times.

Coordinate, deliver, and evaluate hospital-wide education, training, and professional development programmes.

Ensure nursing practice complies with NMBI Professional Guidelines, local policies, protocols, and relevant legislation.

Plan and coordinate nursing student clinical placements in collaboration with third-level educational institutions.

Support nursing students, preceptors, and Clinical Nurse Managers to foster a positive and effective clinical learning environment.

Coordinate and support the Graduate Nurse Programme in partnership with the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).

Provide guidance and mentorship support, overseeing competency assessments and professional development plans for graduate nurses.

Lead and coordinate the adaptation programme for Internationally Educated Nurses, ensuring programme requirements and competencies are achieved.

Act as the designated link person for candidate nurses, providing clinical support, guidance, and competency-based supervision throughout their adaptation programme.

Requirements

Current registration, or eligibility for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Registration status must be maintained and renewed annually in accordance with NMBI requirements.

Minimum of five yearsâ post-registration clinical experience within an acute hospital setting.

Relevant post-registration qualification in education, clinical practice, or a related specialty area.

Demonstrated management experience and/or possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification.

Proven experience in mentorship, preceptorship, clinical teaching, or staff development.

Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to apply evidence-based practice in a healthcare environment.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and accountability skills.

Ability to effectively manage clinical, administrative, and operational responsibilities associated with the role.

Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD) and commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
