We are hiring Clinical Nurse Manager II - Nurse Practice Development for a leading hospital in Limerick,Ireland
Responsibilities
Promote and support evidence-based nursing practice across the organisation.
Embed the Careful Nursing Philosophy and Professional Practice Model into daily clinical practice.
Lead and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and service development initiatives.
Identify the learning and development needs of nursing staff and Healthcare Assistants (HCAs).
Design, deliver, and evaluate blended learning programmes, including online modules, workshops, information sessions, and clinical skills training.
Facilitate clinical skills education in both classroom and clinical practice settings.
Support staff through preceptorship, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
Provide professional and clinical leadership in nursing practice development.
Drive service improvements, innovation, and best practice initiatives.
Participate in internal and external quality assurance and accreditation processes, including JCI, HIQA, NMBI, and JAG standards.
Collect, analyse, and report quality and clinical performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with national healthcare standards, organisational policies, and professional guidelines
Requirements
Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Teaching and Assessing qualification.
Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field (desirable).
Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within the last 7 years.
Management experience and/or a relevant leadership qualification.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Strong knowledge of nursing policies, procedures, clinical guidelines, and professional protocols.
Comprehensive understanding of the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives, including the Scope of Practice and Professional Guidance.
Up-to-date knowledge of current nursing research and evidence-based practice.
Experience in clinical audit, quality improvement, and the development and monitoring of clinical standards.
