We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 â Interventional Cardiology in our Hospital in Limerick, Ireland.

Responsibilitiesâ
Provide specialist assessment, management, and ongoing care for patients with suspected or confirmed heart failure.
Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.
Coordinate inpatient and outpatient heart failure consultations, reviews, and follow-up care.
Support and participate in consultant-led heart failure outpatient clinics.
Deliver nurse-led heart failure clinics, in line with the role's scope of practice and clinical protocols.
Optimise and monitor guideline-directed medical therapy, including medication titration and clinical review.
Identify patients suitable for ambulatory care, facilitate early supported discharge, and coordinate post-discharge follow-up.
Serve as a specialist point of contact, providing expert advice and support to heart failure patients and their families.
Educate patients on self-management, including medication adherence, symptom monitoring, diet, fluid management, and lifestyle modifications.
Recognise and promptly escalate complex or deteriorating patient conditions to the supervising Consultant Cardiologist while ensuring continuity of high-quality care.
Requirements
Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Meet all NMBI requirements for Candidate/Advanced Nurse Practitioner (CANP/ANP) registration and ongoing maintenance of registration.
Hold a Master's Degree (Level 9 NFQ) in a discipline relevant to Advanced Nursing Practice.
Have a minimum of 5 years' post-registration clinical experience.
Possess at least 3 years' recent experience in cardiology, heart failure services, acute medicine, or cardiac diagnostics.
Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) in cardiology and heart failure nursing.
Have excellent clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate competency in ECG interpretation and comprehensive cardiology patient assessment.
Be competent in venepuncture and phlebotomy.
Ability to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
