We are Hiring Clinical Nurse Specialist-Inflammatory Bowel Disease Incorporating Capsule for our Hospital client in Dublin.







Full time / Permanent Contract









 Responsibilities 






  • Provide specialist nursing care and support for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).



  • Coordinate and manage the IBD service, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care.



  • Assess, monitor, and develop individualized care plans for patients with IBD.



  • Perform and support Capsule Endoscopy procedures, including patient preparation, education, and follow-up.



  • Deliver patient education on disease management, medications, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.



  • Act as a clinical expert and resource for patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.



  • Collaborate with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.



  • Monitor treatment outcomes, identify complications, and facilitate timely interventions.



  • Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice.



  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.











Requirements




  • Be registered on the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and hold a current NMBI PIN.



  • Have a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, including experience in the relevant specialty.



  • Have at least 2 years' experience in Gastroenterology and/or Endoscopy nursing (desirable).



  • Hold a recognised post-registration qualification in Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, or a related specialty (desirable).



  • Have completed a management training programme, with a minimum of 1 year's management experience considered desirable.



  • Demonstrate strong clinical competence, professional judgment, and experience in nurse-led clinics or specialist services (desirable).



  • Possess excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.



  • Be proficient in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications relevant to clinical practice.



  • Demonstrate experience in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.



  • Be highly motivated, able to work effectively under pressure, use initiative, and build positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
