DeltaV Automation Engineer 1664

SimoTech requires a DeltaV Automation Engineer
to support our client, a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer based in Co.
Louth. In this role, you will be a key member of the Automation Project team, having
responsibility for system ownership of DeltaV systems and process automation
equipment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ DeltaV automation
experience, preferably in the Life Sciences industry, and will be able to work
onsite at a multi -product biotechnology facility using single -use bioreactor
technology for batch production.

Key
Responsibilities

·       Oversee DeltaV system and
process automation equipment.

·       Implementation of change
controls.

·       Root cause analysis and
troubleshooting of automation issues.

·       Configuration of bioreactors
and associated  vessels, chromatography
columns and systems, ultrafiltration/diafiltration systems and centrifuges.

·       Assist with the creation of
documentation including standard operating procedures and detailed design
specifications.

·       Optimization of DeltaV code
and control strategies.

·       Configuration of third -party
interfaces to DeltaV.

·       DeltaV hardware and
software project lifecycle management.

·       Experience of DeltaV system
upgrades.

·       Root cause analysis and
troubleshooting of automation issues

·       Provide automation
configuration and sustaining support to other teams.

Key Requirements

·       Bachelor’s
Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Systems, or related
discipline.

·       5+
years DeltaV automation experience.

·       On -site
experience on pharmaceutical or biotechnology batch automation projects.

·       Demonstrable technical,
project and interpersonal skills with experience working in a multinational
environment.

·       Good
knowledge of industry standards including S -88 Batch standard and GAMP.

·       Good
problem solving and communication skills.

·       Strong
planning and organisational skills.
