Job Description - DeltaV Automation Engineer (459)

Réalta Technologies are searching for a skilled DeltaV Automation Engineer to support a biotechnology client of ours on the design, implementation and optimisation of automation systems across their growing GMP facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting system start-up, commissioning, and ongoing manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

Design, configure, test, and deploy Emerson DeltaV control strategies to support manufacturing operations.

Support start-up, commissioning and qualification activities for new and existing process automation systems.

Troubleshoot automation issues and provide hands-on support to operations, maintenance and engineering teams.

Develop and maintain automation documentation, including functional specifications, configuration standards and test protocols.

Collaborate with process engineering, quality, and validation teams to ensure automation systems comply with GMP, GAMP 5 and relevant regulatory standards.

Participate in change control, deviation investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical input for automation upgrades, system expansions, and integration with MES, historians and other site systems.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related discipline.

3+ years of experience working with Emerson DeltaV in a biotech/pharma or other highly regulated environment.

Start-up and commissioning experience strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of batch processing, S88 standards, and GMP automation best practices.

Experience writing and executing FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ protocols.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex automation concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
