Deputy Store Manager – Newbridge

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Store Manager to join a well-established Irish retail business in Newbridge.

This is a one-year fixed-term contract and an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail supervisor, assistant manager or deputy manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the store, supporting the team, driving commercial performance and ensuring customers receive an excellent standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the overall day-to-day running of the store
  


• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve store targets
  


• Support the training, coaching and development of team members
  


• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence
  


• Drive sales and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance
  


• Maintain high standards of merchandising, store presentation and stock availability
  


• Support effective stock management, deliveries and replenishment
  


• Assist with team scheduling and the organisation of daily store operations.
  


• Ensure company policies, procedures, health & safety and operational standards are consistently maintained
  


• Create a positive, professional and customer-focused store environment
  

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a retail supervisory, assistant management or deputy management role
  


• Comes from a strong customer-focused retail environment
  


• Is confident leading, coaching and motivating a retail team
  


• Has a good commercial understanding and is comfortable working towards sales and performance targets
  


• Is organised, hands-on and comfortable working in a busy store environment.
  


• Has strong communication and people-management skills
  


• Is flexible to work across a retail roster, including weekends.
