Key responsibilities:
- Partner with teams and individuals to address new business and engineering priorities and challenges.
- Define, track, and deliver projects within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Coach, develop, and support team members to strengthen performance and growth.
- Serve as a key liaison between business and engineering stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, as required.
- Identify delivery and operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Prepare and deliver regular management updates and reports.
Essential skills and / or certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required.
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- 7+ years of experience managing software development teams with several recent years managing multiple teams working on different initiatives.
- Some hands-on software development experience in languages such as Java or Python.
- Working knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, APIs, user interfaces and other core software development concepts.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with developers and senior stakeholders.
- Data engineering knowledge and practical experience.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with familiarity in traditional Waterfall.
