ECC Night Veterinary Surgeon – Dundrum, Dublin

The Vet Office is recruiting an ECC Night Veterinary Surgeon for a busy and well-equipped small animal practice in Dundrum, South Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with an interest or experience in Emergency & Critical Care who enjoys night work but also wants a rota offering significant blocks of time off.

The Rota

The position operates on a structured 6-week repeating night rota:

• Week 1: Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights – 3 nights
• Week 2: Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights – 3 nights
• Week 3: 7 days OFF
• Week 4: Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights – 4 nights
• Week 5: Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights – 4 nights
• Week 6: 7 days OFF

That's just 14 working nights across every 6-week cycle, with 28 days off during the same period.

The rota also provides substantial consecutive time away from work, making it particularly attractive for vets who value flexibility, travel or an excellent work-life balance.

The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from Veterinary Surgeons who:

• Have experience or a strong interest in Emergency & Critical Care
• Are comfortable working independently during night shifts
• Have good clinical and decision-making skills
• Enjoy emergency medicine and managing hospitalised patients
• Are interested in developing their ECC experience
• Are registered or eligible to register with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI)

Veterinary Surgeons currently based elsewhere in Europe who are considering relocating to Ireland are also welcome to apply.
