Financial Controller (West Dublin)

On behalf of a well-established, family-run business in West Dublin who have recently been acquired by a PLC investor, we are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to run the finance function and support the business through its next stage.

As Financial Controller you will be the day-to-day finance lead, responsible for producing accurate management information, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting commercial decision-making during a period of change. This is a high-visibility, autonomous role with real scope to influence systems and future finance hires.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and prepare management accounts, KPIs and variance analysis.
  
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and rolling cashflow projections.
  
• Prepare statutory accounting packs and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
  
• Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger and stock/inventory reconciliations; manage working capital.
  
• Provide commercial analysis (margin, cost of goods sold) to support operations and sales.
  
• Manage external providers (payroll, tax, banking) and co-ordinate integration activities with the investor group.
  

Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA).
  
• 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in industry (commercial/SME environment preferred).
  
• Comfortable in a small-to-medium enterprise: practical, hands-on and flexible.
  
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with an ERP/accounting system.
  
• Clear communicator able to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
