Currently Hiring an experienced Floating NightSupport Worker for Depaul in their Dublin Central Operation.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to support our service teams across Dublin. Depaul is a values-driven organisation delivering a range of services throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Reporting directly to the Local Management Team, the role involves responding promptly to service user needs and security alerts, ensuring their safety, welfare, and well-being throughout the night. Key Responsibilities
Build positive, respectful relationships with service users and manage challenging situations sensitively.
Support residents in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic living environment, encouraging independence with cleaning and laundry.
Carry out night-time security checks and monitor the building and surrounding areas.
Cover reception duties as required.
Supervise and support service users, particularly those with higher care needs.
Assist, where appropriate, with medication support in line with prescribed plans and report any non-compliance.
Encourage service users to develop independent living skills.
Report crises or behavioural concerns to management and contact the On-Call Manager outside office hours when required.
Support residents with personal finances and service charge payments where necessary.
Complete administrative tasks, including petty cash, statistics, invoices, record-keeping, service user files, OTIS, incident reports, and accident reports.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and maintain the safety and security of the service.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and attend team meetings, supervision, training, and annual appraisals.
Adhere to all Depaul policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Confidentiality, Code of Practice, and Equal Opportunities.
Undertake additional duties as required and provide cover for colleagues when needed.
Requirements
1+ year's experience in homelessness or a related field, or QQI Level 5 (or higher) in Social Care or a related discipline.
Knowledge of homelessness support, risk management, and Health & Safety.
Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and work effectively as part of a team.
Manual Handling certification is desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of Depaul's vision, mission, and values.
