The Head of EU Legal will be part of the WuXi Biologics Ireland Leadership Team providing legal advice & input to the Irish business. In addition to the primary responsibilities related to the Irish Business entity the individual will provide some remote in-house legal advice to the business units within the broader EU region through interaction with local market external legal councils.

Department Description
As Head of EU Legal, you will be joining an organization where people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected, and where we work together focused on changing lives. In this role you will report to the VP Manufacturing & Site Lead.

 Key responsibilities will include:
•    Commercial & Operational Contracting, including Template Development, Review & Negotiation.
•    Legal Support for Site Operations & Regulatory Affairs (General legal counselling, Legal entity management, GDPR, cross-border data transfer).
•    Dispute Resolution.
•    HR Employee Relations. 
•    Support corporate transactions within the region. 
•    Advise, mentor and guide internal stakeholders from the legal perspective, around Data Compliance.
•    Review HR and data related policies and process from the legal perspective in alignment with the global strategy and deploy in consultation with Global ER the same in the region.
•    Monitor legislation developments and trends in relation to the Employment Laws Compliance and Data Compliance and provide proactive solutions.
•    Will be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the VP Manufacturing & Site Lead.
•    Will act as a role model for the Legal and Compliance function and also the wider organisation in adherence to the WuXi corporate core values and PROUD culture.

Qualifications Required: 
•    Legal education and bar admission/license in IRL are required

Experience Required:
•    Up to 10 years of inhouse legal counsel corporate experience required.
•    Proficient knowledge of Commercial and Operational Contracting, M&A & legal entity management required.
•    Knowledge of all aspects of employment laws and data laws in the licensed country.
•    Ability to recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems.

•    Ability to travel as required.
