In this hands-on role, you will shape and deliver a bold, multi-year fundraising strategy, unlocking new and diverse income streams while leading a passionate team across individual giving, community fundraising, corporate and Trusts and Foundation partnerships.
Working at the heart of the organisation alongside the Head of Finance, Legal & Governance senior leadership team, and trustees, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth and amplifying our impact—leaving a lasting legacy through the relationships you build and the vision you deliver.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of a multi-year fundraising strategy, driving income growth from €2.5m to €5m over 3–4 years in line with the organisation's strategic ambitions.
Serve as a senior leader within the organisation, contributing to strategic planning, organisational decision-making, and cross-functional leadership as a key member of the
Personally cultivate and secure transformational gifts and high-value corporate partnerships, acting as a credible and compelling ambassador for ALONE at the highest level.
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing fundraising team — setting clear objectives, fostering accountability, and creating a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous development.
Oversee and grow diversified income streams across major donors, individual, community, legacy, and strategic corporate partnerships, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Work in close partnership with the all stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities and strengthen organisational governance around income generation.
Provide strategic financial oversight across the fundraising function, including budget management, forecasting, and regular reporting of KPIs and income performance to senior leadership.
Champion ALONE’s mission and values externally, building its profile, influence, and reputation with donors, partners, and the wider fundraising community.
Work closely with the Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and leverage wider communications to drive fundraising efforts.

Essential skills & experience
Significant experience in a senior fundraising role within the NGO or charity sector is an advantage.
Proven track record of managing and growing fundraising income across all aspects of fundraising.
Demonstrated success across individual giving, community fundraising, and corporate partnerships.
Strong people leadership skills with experience building and motivating high-performing teams.
Proven strategic thinker with a strong track record of translating vision into clear, actionable operational plans and measurable outcomes, ensuring delivery of impact. Demonstrates a consistent commitment to high standards of compliance and robust governance, with these principles embedded at the core of all activities and decision-making
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong reporting and storytelling skills, effectively communicating impact to donors and funders, both in demonstrating the use of funds and in supporting new funding opportunities.
A collaborative team player who fosters strong internal and external relationships.
Problem-solver, using innovation to improve service delivery and support independent older person and the people we serve.
Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet KPIs.
