Head of Risk and Controls – Wealth
Management

A
top tier wealth management institution is looking to hire a Head of Risk and
Controls to
redevelop the control framework within the Private Client business and ensure a
robust control environment with effective oversight embedded in the department.

Role
responsibilities will include:

·         Design and implement a
practical and robust first line of defence control framework in conjunction
with Group Risk and conduct assurance reviews to assess the control frameworks

·         Embed controls in a
sustainable way which allows control and compliance to be an enabler for
business performance rather than a resource drain

·         Identify key risks and
controls and document for all significant processes across the Advice,
Financial Planning and Investment teams. Continually monitor changes in risk
exposures and amend and enhance controls accordingly

·         Leverage technology
solutions such as GRC tools & Data Analytics to support the business

·         Drive change and have
an appetite to bring in new and improved processes, implemented wherever
possible across the department

Requirements

·         An ambitious and
driven Risk professional with excellent communication skills

·         Relevant professional
qualifications

·         Experience in
Regulated Financial Service environment in Ireland or abroad

·         A minimum of 10 years
of experience in a senior risk or business role preferably with some of this
experience in a Wealth Management setting

·         Track record of
engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders

·         An understanding of
leading -edge quality reporting control, assurance and risk management policies
and procedures
