Hospital Sterile Services Department Operative

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Hospital Sterile Services Department (HSSD) or a similar healthcare support role is desirable but not essential.

• A Leaving Certificate or an equivalent level of education is required as a minimum qualification.

• Possession of a relevant qualification in Sterile Services, Decontamination, or a related field is desirable. Candidates who do not currently hold such a qualification should demonstrate a willingness to obtain it in the future.

• Experience working within an HSSD environment and knowledge of decontamination and sterilisation processes would be advantageous.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy, with an understanding of the importance of a patient-centred approach to service delivery.

• Show initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team under the guidance and supervision of the HSSD Manager.
