Job Description - Legal Counsel - Contract

Our client, a growing Fund Management firm with €50bn AUM, are seeking a Legal Counsel for an initial 1 year fixed -term contract. As part of this role, you will work with an international and dynamic legal team and function of lawyers in multiple countries. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking an opportunity in the Asset Management space to build their experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Counsel will include:

Advise on applicable law and regulatory developments affecting the firm going forward
Manage all legal aspects of corporate governance, legal compliance, contracting and regulatory engagement with the CBI
Draft and review contracts to be issued
Ensure implementation of legal and regulatory requirements by engaging with senior management and members of wider compliance team
Liaise with the external counsel as required

Key Requirements of the Legal Counsel will include:

At least 1 -3 years' PQE with relevant exposure to investment funds or similar
Knowledge of CBI requirements for Fund Management companies and UCITS/AIFM exposure
Strong communication ability, particularly with senior stakeholders
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required
