What You'll Be Working On

• Volkswagen Crafter commercial vehicles


• MAN TGE light commercial vehicles


• Vans and light commercial fleets


• Routine servicing and preventive maintenance


• Mechanical and electrical diagnostics


• Engine, transmission and brake system repairs


• Vehicle inspections and compliance checks

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles and vans


• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults


• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance


• Complete vehicle inspections and roadworthiness assessments


• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify issues


• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to manufacturer standards


• Support and mentor junior technicians where required


• Complete workshop documentation and job cards accurately


• Work collaboratively with parts and service departments

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Commercial Vehicle, LGV, Heavy Vehicle or Automotive Technician


• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification workshop experience


• Proven experience working on Volkswagen Crafter vehicles or MAN TGE vehicles


• Strong diagnostics and fault-finding skills


• Good understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems


• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team


• Good English communication skills (written and spoken)


• Full driving licence


• EU passport, UK passport or existing right to work in Ireland

Desirable

• Main dealer or commercial vehicle dealership background


• Must have carried out warranty work


• Manufacturer diagnostics systems experience


• Experience supporting trainee or junior technicians


• Familiarity with fleet maintenance environments


• Own Tools
