Teamworx are currently recruiting a Maintenance person, on behalf of our client, a Hospitality and retail group located with Dublin and Kildare. This role is ideal for a hands-on, practical person who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in fixing things and keeping spaces running smoothly. You might be a seasoned handyman or someone with a background in trades like painting, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical work, looking for a steady, rewarding role.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of the group Maintenance Team.
Work on the maintenance list/task lists as compiled/assigned by the Group
Maintenance Manager.
Oversee timely repair of equipment and facilities, addressing urgent issues efficiently.
Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and ensure quality standards are
met.
Ensure ongoing upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Complete urgent/emergency repair work as it arises
Work with the Group Maintenance Manager to ensure that there is a preventative
maintenance plan in place for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and conduct
routine safety inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
Monitor and manage energy usage to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Organise supplies/authorisation to purchase supplies through the Group Maintenance Manager.
Ensure that all invoices/paperwork for purchases from local suppliers are
processed through store accounts.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inspections, and compliance documentation.
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role
A broad range of practical skills across basic trades
A problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
full driving license and willingness to travel between sites
Fluent English, both written and verbal
Availability 5 days over 7 and availability to work weekends
