We are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II or III on permanent basis to join our team. 

Job Purpose: 

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in equipment set-up. Responsible for maintenance, and calibration of equipment, as well as supporting rework and testing related to the production subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Work with mechanical/electrical/pneumatic hardware and software-HMI interfacing / vision systems.


• Responsible for machine performance and up time. (e.g. robotics, conveyor, laser, packaging systems)


• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance and calibration procedures and routines in assigned process/es or area/s.


• Assists in implementing technical improvements & lean initiatives.


• Responsible for identifying, sourcing and replenishment equipment spares.


• Perform equipment qualifications and supports engineers in supporting validations.


• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment changes and improvements.


• Interface with a variety of BSCI personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.


• Lead quality investigations and consult with other support functions such as quality, SQE, design, manufacturing and x-site functions as required.


• Good communication skills are essential, will be required to communicate complex technical investigations to non-technical teams. Provides support for Manufacturing Engineering and any other internal customers as required.


• Provide technical training and mentorship to other technicians as required.


• Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process.


• Performs routine and some non-routine technical assignments using standard methods and sequences. Assignments will require limited engineering judgment in troubleshooting proven processes and assisting with resolution of complex quality and manufacturing issues.


• Follows procedures and has knowledge of how MPI’s, TPI’s, drawings, etc. are used. Operate to the highest safety and 5s standards daily and encourage others to follow suit.


• Expert in Quality Systems expertise e.g. MRB, eCAPA, MES with strong Windchill knowledge.


• Drive Continuous improvement, VIP-cost saving initiatives.


• Work with a computer maintenance management system. (GDP-compliance)


• Participate and lead in area and tiered meetings.


• Work with stores personnel on spare parts reorder and management of same.


• Operate to the highest safety and 5s standards and encourage others to follow suit.

Education & Experience: 

• Level 6 Major award (or higher) in a relevant discipline for the tech II position with a minimum 2 years relevant experience. Level 7 major award (or higher) in a relevant discipline preferred, with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience for the tech III.


• Level 6 major award in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience will also be considered for he tech III level.


• Strong troubleshooting skills.


• Self-motivated to seek out opportunities to improve process performance.


• Communicates well with peers on issues/problems that arise.


• Good computer skills and systems knowledge.


• Machine experience is essential, trade, electrical or medical.
