Timber Machine Operator

Location: Fermoy, County Cork
Positions Available: 3
Pay: €16–€17 per hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-time

Elite Talent Hub Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established building-materials and timber-manufacturing client seeking three Roof Truss Manufacturing Operators for its production facility in Fermoy.

This position would suit reliable, practical candidates who enjoy hands-on work, can follow technical drawings and have strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare timber and other materials for truss production.


• Read and follow technical drawings and production specifications.


• Set up jigs correctly for each production order.


• Measure, position and assemble timber components.


• Assist with the manufacture of roof trusses to the required specifications.


• Inspect completed products and maintain high quality standards.


• Wrap, label and prepare completed orders for dispatch.


• Set up materials and equipment for the next production order.


• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.


• Identify and report quality, equipment or safety issues.


• Follow all company procedures and health and safety requirements.


• Contribute to improvements in safety, quality and production efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous roof-truss, timber-frame, carpentry, construction or manufacturing experience is desirable.


• Ability to read drawings, measurements or production specifications would be advantageous.


• Comfortable using hand tools and working in a physical manufacturing environment.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.


• Willingness to learn candidates with suitable practical experience will also be considered.
