Responsibilities:
• Support the day-to-day management and development of the business and its animal care facilities.
• Plan, organise and coordinate operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery and smooth daily operations in line with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Oversee operational systems, staff coordination, workflows and rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective resource allocation.
• Implement, monitor and review operational policies and procedures to maintain consistency, efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain high standards of animal welfare, health and safety, hygiene and customer service across the business.
• Monitor operational performance, service quality and operational costs, preparing reports and records as required.
• Supervise and support operational staff, assisting with recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development.
• Liaise with senior management to assist with business planning, performance improvement and the achievement of operational targets.
• Coordinate the availability of equipment, supplies and resources necessary for the effective operation of the facility.
• Ensure that daily operational activities are completed efficiently, in accordance with company standards and customer expectations.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Business Management or a related field.
• Experience in business operations, staff coordination, scheduling, administration and day-to-day operational management.
• Experience working within veterinary, animal care, pet boarding, daycare or related environments.
• Ability to coordinate staff, manage workflows and ensure efficient service delivery across animal care facilities.
• Experience implementing and following operational processes, policies and procedures.
• Strong organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Experience monitoring stock, supplies and resource requirements to support business operations.
• Good communication and team coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
• Knowledge of animal welfare, hygiene, health and safety and customer service standards relevant to an animal care environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems.
