Responsibilities
Off the back of continued success and growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of substation electrical projects from construction through to handover.
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects across their full lifecycle — co-ordinating the appropriate design team personnel and on-site contractors, managing the procurement of materials, and taking control of the project programme and RFI schedule throughout the construction process. You will review design drawings prior to construction, develop, implement and monitor project cost, budget plans and programming, and prepare the necessary documentation for tender submissions. Dealing directly and effectively with stakeholders is central to the role, including renewable developers, Local Authorities, ESB Networks, landowners and the legal profession. You will also implement, promote and lead the group's Health & Safety processes, co-operate closely with internal HSQE, Design, Quality and Commercial departments, and ensure ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 procedures are applied as required. Travel to the Munster region will be required.
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate: ideally 4+ years' experience, preferably on ESB projects; an essential electrical background; excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills; and strong project management IT skills, with proficiency across MS Project, Teams, Excel, Word and email. You will also bring proven experience managing client relationships from pre-works stage through to project completion, strong conflict resolution, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of working on large-scale utility projects would be preferred.
