As a Project Quality Engineer, you will play one of the most dynamic and influential roles in our business. You will take ownership of Quality requirements at the source—across Projects and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Working with global teams from the Inquiry‑to‑Order (ITO) phase through New Product Development and into execution, you will ensure that Quality requirements are designed, developed, and delivered with customer satisfaction and compliance at the core.

Here’s what you can expect in this role

• Project Quality Ownership — Lead Quality activities throughout the ITO phases, including ITO/OTR handovers.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration — Work with engineers, designers, and project teams to review design, manufacturing, and test documentation, ensuring all contractual and program Quality requirements are met.
• Quality Analysis & Corrective Action — Analyze program Quality performance and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Customer Requirement Validation — Identify Quality requirements in customer contracts and ensure full compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Flawless Execution — Ensure seamless Quality handovers and execution across all project stages.
• Quality Advocacy — Support functions in adhering to documented processes and champion a culture of Quality.
• Problem‑Solving Leadership — Drive and support structured problem‑solving activities within the Project Quality process.
• Factory Acceptance Testing Support — Ensure flawless execution of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including third‑party involvement.
• Customer Escape Management — Collaborate with the extended Quality team to investigate customer escapes, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Quality Culture Development — Promote and strengthen a Quality‑first mindset across the business.
• Lean Transformation — Drive transformation initiatives using Lean principles under the Crane Business System.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Bring Industrial Experience — Minimum 7 years in industry, including at least 3 years in a Project Quality role.
• Demonstrate Strong Problem‑Solving Skills
• Support Quality Management Systems — Experience with QMS implementation or support.
• Understand ISO Standards — Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing — Experience working with third‑party bodies.
• Apply Quality Tools — Familiarity with RCA, Six Sigma, Lean, A3 Thinking, and other CI methods.
• Understand Product Development Lifecycles
• Show Strong Organizational Skills
• Collaborate Across Teams — Ability to liaise with Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Supply Chain.
• Manage Multiple Projects
• Use Microsoft Office Tools
• Communicate & Lead Effectively — Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Lead Initiatives — Experience leading initiatives of moderate to large scope.
