Job Description - Quantity Surveyor - Public Sector Construction

Role: Quantity Surveyor
Client: Main Contractor Specialising in Public Works
Essentials: 2-5 Years' Experience with a PQS or Contractor, Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, Full Driver's License & Personal Vehicle
Location: Primarily office based in South Dublin with occasional site visits
Salary: €50,000 - €65,000
Package: Pension, Mileage, Phone & Laptop
Progression: To Senior Quantity Surveyor

This role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects throughout Dublin and Leinster, providing a stimulating environment for professional growth and development. Joining a main contractor that specialises in public works for Government Bodies, including Healthcare, Universities, Approved Housing Bodies and County Councils, you will be at the forefront of shaping essential infrastructure.

Preparation of cost plans and budget estimates

Preparation of Bills of Quantities

Monitoring project costs and reporting monthly against budget

Preparing interim valuations and payment applications

Assessing and pricing variations

Attending site progress meetings with Contract Managers
