We are now recruiting a Research and Evaluation Manager to join our Research, Evaluation and Policy team. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality evidence, insight and reporting are used to support service improvement, organisational decision-making, policy development and national discourse on ageing. The postholder will manage a multidisciplinary team and will work closely with cross-functional departments across the organisation.

Responsibilities
Manage a programme of work across research, monitoring & evaluation, data management and business intelligence, ensuring high quality work and the achievement of annual strategic objectives
Provide line management for high-performing research and evaluation team
Oversee organisational monitoring and evaluation systems, including KPI development, dashboards and routine reporting.
Lead the design, delivery and dissemination of strategic research and evaluation projects, including oversight of quantitative and qualitative data collection, input and analysis.
Oversee quality enhancement and management of operational data across ALONE
Ensure organisational data is translated into meaningful insights that inform decision-making, service delivery, and strategic planning both internally and at a health system level.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, academic partners, funders and external agencies.
Support dissemination of ALONE’s evidence and insights through reports, presentations, publications and stakeholder engagement.
Additional duties as assigned.
Essential skills & experience
A PhD qualification (or equivalent professional experience) in a research, evaluation or a related field
Proven experience leading a programme of research or monitoring & evaluation work
Strong people management experience, including experience managing small teams.
Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills.
A record of research publications and dissemination
Experience translating data and evidence into practical insights for decision-making, service improvement and policy development.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and balance strategic and operational priorities.
Strong computer and data analysis skills including the Microsoft Office suite, and database management.
