Job Description - Sales Consultant


The Sales Consultant, will join our clients Aesculap team. The Aesculap division has been synonymous with competence in the operating room for over 150 years. The division is a partner for surgical and interventional treatment concepts in inpatient and outpatient care. Aesculap focuses on the following therapeutic areas: abdominal surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, spine surgery, neurosurgery, interventional vascular therapy and sterile goods management. Since 1995 our Aesculap Academy has been keeping medical practitioners, hospital personnel and hospital management fit for the future.


Job Title: Sales Consultant

Reporting to: Business Unit Manager

Location: Leinster Based


As an Sales Consultant, you will


 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage, develop & grow the existing General Surgical Instrument AESCULAP Portfolio within IRELAND across all disciplines.

  • Promote the AESCULAP General Surgical Management portfolio through “Sharing Expertise”.

  • Identify efficiencies for our partners & areas of growth for client within the Surgical Goods Management market while distinguishing the AESCULAP brand from the competition.

  • Ability to manage new theatre/hospital Capital projects as a Systems Partner & add value for the equipping Hospital’s. 

  • Enhance the existing Repair Service model for General Surgical Instruments & Power Tools.

  • Identify new & foster existing partnerships within The Public and Private Hospital settings in Ireland.

  • Managing key projects

  • Maintaining market and competitor analysis, and providing regular feedback

  • Providing training, presentations, in-services, and education to end users.




About You:

Ideally, your background will include:



  • 2/3 years hospital sales experience in an operating theatre & CSSD environment, including understanding of the sales cycle and contracts within the Private and Public Hospital systems.

  • Strong team orientation and work ethic

  • Positive, can-do, attitude

  • Ability to think strategically and challenge customers.
