Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor

ID Recruitment are working with a large growing electrical contracting company with work in Ireland and Europe to recruit a Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor. Based in Claremorris, Mayo, the role will report to the company Commercial Manager and will be responsible for cost controlling and ensuring budgets are achieved on projects. Main duties and responsibilities:

• Support the Commercial manager to ensure all commercial aspects of the projects are managed effectively
  


• Responsible for cost controlling on projects and ensuring budgets are achieved and final accounts are agreed
  


• Completing take-offs from tender drawings on the Data Centre & Life Sciences projects
  


• Site visits pre-tender agreement & during completion of construction
  


• Manage project scope variances 
  


• Develop and maintain relationships with the client to support operations and maintain positive relations on behalf of the Company
  


• Manage the review of all tender documentation including drawings and specifications
  

Requirements

• Related qualification in Quantity Surveying
  


• At least 3 years’ experience.
  


• Good IT skills with competency using Microsoft Excel
  


• Electrical services background preferable but not essential
  


• Strong commercial awareness
  


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong commercial relationships.
