We are now seeking Senior Physiotherapist Musculoskeletal Outpatients forour hospital located in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services by implementing best practice standards, clinical governance, and service improvements.
Participate in the operational management of the Physiotherapy Department as part of the Senior Physiotherapy Management Team, ensuring effective service planning and delivery.
Foster positive working relationships through effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Support staff recruitment, induction, performance appraisal, mentoring, and continuous professional development through education, training, and research initiatives.
Maintain accurate clinical records, departmental statistics, and documentation in line with legal, professional, and organisational requirements.
Oversee the development, review, and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance programmes.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation by promoting a safe working environment, monitoring equipment safety, and adhering to hospital safety policies and emergency procedures.
Participate in the physiotherapy on-call service and provide cross-cover for inpatient services as required to meet operational needs.
Utilise clinical information systems and IT applications to support patient care, audit, data analysis, reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
Assist in the effective management of departmental resources, including equipment, consumables, and budgets, while supporting efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
Requirements
Be registered with CORU as a Physiotherapist.
Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Hold a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification (desirable).
Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal, spinal, sports, chronic pain, and rheumatological conditions.
Have experience or training in Spinal Triage Services, Strength & Conditioning, Pilates, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Dry Needling/Acupuncture, or Biomechanical Assessment for Orthotics (desirable).
Possess knowledge of wound healing, fracture and tendon healing, motor control, movement patterns, post-operative rehabilitation protocols, and the identification of Red Flags and Yellow Flags.
Be proficient in maintaining accurate clinical documentation, adhering to departmental protocols, and using evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches.
Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or be willing to complete mandatory in-house training, while demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently, manage a busy caseload, supervise others, and deliver compassionate, patient-centred care.
