Job Description - Senior Scala Developer

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a tech team in Dublin on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will fit into a sub-team of 6 engineers building out a data processing pipeline in Scala, APIs in Typescript and deploying in AWS.

We are fairly open on language experience, however someone strong in functional programming would be ideal.

Fullstack experience would be nice to have but this is a backend role, they have a separate team looking after the UI.

Experience

5+ years' experience as a Software Engineer

Scala experience would be ideal (or other functional languages, Typescript)

AWS experience

Strong database knowledge

Strong communicator qualities and passionate about producing quality code
