Job Description - Senior Site Manager - Mixed-Use Projects

Role: Senior Site Manager

Client: Main Contractor

Essentials: Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering or Construction Management; 10+ years’ experience in healthcare / commercial / residential construction

Location: Cork

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000

Reporting to: Project Manager

Lead and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring all works are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification

Supervise subcontractors, trades, and direct labour to drive productivity and maintain programme targets

Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and key milestones

Maintain and enforce health & safety standards in line with company procedures and statutory requirements

Ensure high-quality delivery through regular inspections and robust quality control processes

Work closely with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers, and design team to align activities and resolve site issues

Oversee site logistics, including materials and plant, to optimise procurement and resource utilisation

Keep detailed daily records and progress reports, ensuring clear and consistent communication with senior management

Assist in the identification and management of project variations alongside the team

Chair site meetings, daily briefings, and toolbox talks to promote effective communication and coordination
