Job Description - Site Engineer - Housing Development - Wexford

Role: Site Engineer

Client: Main Contractor

Essentials: HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification, minimum of 2 years’ similar experience in Ireland, experience with setting out and managing engineers.

Location: Wexford

Salary: Up to €65,000

Lead health, safety, quality and compliance across the project, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout delivery.

Coordinate design reviews, technical queries and the timely resolution of design and construction issues.

Manage subcontractors and specialist service providers to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and commissioning requirements.

Monitor project progress, provide weekly performance reporting and proactively identify and address potential delays.

Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and ensure the timely close-out of defects and outstanding issues.

Oversee quality assurance processes, document control and compliance with building control requirements.

Manage key work packages, including sequencing, trade coordination and input into procurement and planning activities.

Liaise with utilities providers, local authorities, statutory bodies and other external stakeholders as required.

Identify opportunities to improve build efficiencies through design optimisation, technical challenge and value engineering.

Lead, mentor and develop site engineering teams while promoting a collaborative, quality-driven and customer-focused culture.
