We are hiring Staff Nurse- Medical Assessment Unit, Posts for a hospital located in Tralee, Ireland.

Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Medical Assessment Unit.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications and treatments, and promptly report any changes.
Work collaboratively with consultants, physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely patient assessment and treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with NMBI and hospital standards.
Educate and support patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge care.
Prioritize and manage the care of acutely ill patients in a fast-paced assessment environment.
Adhere to infection prevention and control, medication safety, and health and safety policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and risk management activities.
Supervise, support, and mentor junior nursing staff and students where appropriate.
Maintain professional competence through continuing professional development (CPD) and mandatory training.
Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while upholding patient dignity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Requirements
Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience in an acute care setting.
Experience in a Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) or a similar department is desirable.
ACLS certification is preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain certification if not already certified.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver exceptional, high-quality, patient-centred care.
Good IT skills.
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in cannulation and venepuncture is desirable, or willingness to acquire these skills.
