System Engineer - DelatV Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer – DeltaV Infrastructure to support and maintain automation systems within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Emerson DeltaV infrastructure, OT systems, virtualization platforms, and industrial networks, ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant operations across Life Sciences and Biopharmaceutical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain DeltaV servers, HMIs, workstations, and OT infrastructure.
• Perform installation, configuration, commissioning, and lifecycle maintenance of DeltaV hardware and infrastructure.
• Manage virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware, HCI, VRTX) and ensure system availability.
• Execute system administration tasks: user access, patch management, antivirus deployment, backup & recovery, and system hardening.
• Troubleshoot hardware, network, and communication issues across OT environments.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and operational activities.
• Configure and maintain industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, Ethernet, Foundation Fieldbus).
• Collaborate with Automation, CSV, QA, and Operations teams during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP5, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, validation records, and infrastructure reports.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV infrastructure and hardware support.
• Proven background in OT infrastructure within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, HCI, VRTX).
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Guardian, AMS Device Manager, SHM, DVBAR, and backup systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking, switches, firewalls, and communication protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Life Sciences and Biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with DeltaV upgrades, virtualization migration, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Kneat validation experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of validated systems aligned with GAMP5 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
