Transportation Design Engineer

Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Transportation Design Engineer with relevant years of planning and design experience. You will join the growing highways and transportation team in our Cork office.

Your role

• You must be enthusiastic, keen to learn, dedicated, flexible, willing to seek responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.
• The role will involve preliminary and detailed design, input to statutory processes, preparation of contract documents, contract administration and construction supervision.

About you

• Relevant years of experience in a consultancy environment.
• Level 8 (minimum) or Level 9 (preferred) Qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Aiming to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
• Knowledge and experience of relevant design standards, including TII Publications, Cycle Design Manual, DMURS etc. and ability to translate this knowledge into practical design solutions.
• Computer literate with experience of relevant design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D etc).
• Experience in design and build schemes.
• Experience in development of road schemes (preferably in Ireland) including feasibility studies, options assessments, preliminary designs, planning processes, EIAR, CPO, tender document preparation, contract administration and construction supervision.
• Full Irish or EU Driving Licence.
