About the Role
FT Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a 2-day-per-week role in Tipperary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles, plant and machinery. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking for regular part-time work.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and machinery


• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults


• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance


• Troubleshoot mechanical and engine issues


• Carry out repairs and replacements as required


• Ensure machinery is maintained to a safe and reliable standard


• Complete maintenance records where required


• Follow all health & safety procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic


• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems


• Experience working on plant, machinery, HGVs or commercial vehicles is an advantage


• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently


• Good attention to detail


• Strong health & safety awareness


• Relevant mechanical qualification or equivalent experience
