Part time Support Pharmacist

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Support Pharmacist to join our a friendly and professional community pharmacy team in Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a supportive working environment with a great work-life balance. Applications are welcome from both experienced pharmacists and newly qualified or less experienced pharmacists, as full support will be provided.

About the Role

• Part-time position – 3 days per week

• Primarily weekday shifts with 1 in 3 Saturdays

• Immediate start available

• Salary: €36–€45 per hour, negotiable, depending on experience

• Large, modern, and well-organised dispensary

• Experienced and supportive pharmacy team

• Protected lunch and break times

• No late nights

• No nursing home commitments

Key Responsibilities

• Safely dispense prescriptions in line with PSI guidelines and best practice.

• Provide professional advice and counselling to patients on prescribed and over-the-counter medicines.

• Deliver excellent patient care and promote the safe and effective use of medicines.

• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and the wider pharmacy team.

• Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and local healthcare professionals.

• Contribute to maintaining high standards of customer service and pharmacy practice.

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
