Our technology starts with you.\n\nYOUR ROLE \n\nAs a Senior Application Engineer, the candidate will play a key role in defining specifications for new Discrete and Intelligent Power Modules devices (based on SiC and GaN MOSFET technologies, as well as Silicon IGBT and MOSFET) in close collaboration with the Marketing team. \nKey application areas include Industrial and Appliance Motion Control, On-board Chargers, and Energy Management Systems. \nThe candidate will take full ownership of product development, from initial definition through to comprehensive application testing. \nThis role involves developing system and architecture expertise to define new product features and specifications. \nThe candidate will validate electrical parameters and ensure full in-application functionality of new products, supported by the creation of dedicated test boards. \nAdditionally, he will provide strong technical support to Marketing and Sales during product promotion and act as the primary technical interface with customers during design-in and in case of returns. \nHe will also contribute to promoting ST solutions by developing promotional materials, including demo boards, simulation tools, and technical documentation. \n \n\nYOUR SKILLS \u0026 EXPERIENCES\n\nDesired Competencies are: \n\n * Power Electronics\n * Analog Electronics\n * Bench Characterization Know-how\n * Laboratory Instruments Usage\n * System architecture evolution awareness\n * Orcad and/or Simetrix and/or similar software to design PCB layout and for computational analysis\n * Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Office suite\n * Fluent English Language\n * Sense of initiative, autonomy and urgency\n * Teamwork/Cooperation\n * Creativity/Innovation\n * Availability to travel\n\n\n\nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
