Associate Broadcast Engineer

Your Opportunity, Your Team 

• The Associate Broadcast Engineering supports QVC Italy and Qvc International (under the supervision of the Supervisor, Broadcast & Media Engineering) provides system support for the broadcast infrastructure and end users. In this role you will provide root cause analysis of escalated incidents/problems related to broadcasting systems, supporting our Live Production Infrastructure.

Where You'll Work 

• This role will require you to be onsite at QVC Italy (Brugherio) several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company).  

• This is a full time – permanent role, working on shifts.

What You'll Do 

Some of your responsibilities:

• Provide 1st-tier technical support for the broadcasting systems in the Live Production environment, Distribution to Linear and Streamed platforms as well as Web Streams and Social.

• Support and execute small to medium level project integrations and ensure all tasks are completed within accepted timelines.

• Testing of all broadcasting equipment and systems.

• Create and review standards and operating procedures for broadcasting infrastructure.

• Support the best possible course of action to resolve technical problems or support live show requirements.

• Support for broadcasting disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.

• Manage support incidents for all broadcasting systems. 

What You'll Bring 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor Technical degree or a Technical high school diploma with relevant working experience.

• A minimum of two years of recent and directly related Broadcasting experience in a television broadcast environment strongly preferred.

• Must possess the ability to explain technical issues clearly and patiently to all levels of users.

• Must demonstrate situational flexibility adaptability to promptly transition among and between job, assignments, projects and functions.

• Italian fluent and good English.
